De gehele bemanning van m/s Happy Dragon bedankt het Comite Kerstfeest op Zee en onze rederij voor het weer mogen ontvangen van de kerstdoos. Het is een van die “oude” tradities die gelukkig nog bestaat.

Al sinds het aan boord komen van de doos in de laatste maanden van het jaar wordt er uitgekeken naar het open maken ervan en het uitdelen van de cadeaus. Iedereen is er altijd blij mee, wat het ook is. Een wintermuts in de tropen vind zijn bestemming wel weer als we 2 maanden later in de vorst zitten. De telefoon kaarten waren zeer gewild deze keer.

We wensen de het Comite Kerstfeest op Zee nog een lang bestaan toe.

Good morning,

 

Yesterday during our Christmas meal at anchor Copenhagen Roads we opened the box with presents from the 'Comité Kerstfeest op Zee'.

All crew members wish to express their thanks for the presents received! Also the internet SIM card was welcomed with big smiles.

I was touched by the present I received, a beany Knitted by Corrie, age 81, as the accompanying card mentioned. This reminded me of my own 'tante Nel', my mother's sister, who worked her way up from 'Huishoudschool' to 'Huisarts' and with whom all conversations were accompanied by the ticking of knitting pens. Her hands were always busy. A dear memory to a person dearly missed, as she passed away five years ago. Many thanks to Corrie for bringing this memory to the surface.

 

Thanks very much for all your efforts and good work, it is highly appreciated!
